What is the Rouse House Kids concept?
The easy three step process allows you to create a one-of-a-kind item for your little one. You can choose from different styles, fabrics, and additions to create your own reversible outfit.
Three Simple Steps:

3. Add an applique, Monogram, or Pocket
How do I get started?
You may order online or host a party! You can create your items online by planning first then building your outfit. Use our form to help! We are here to help you. If you found one fabric you love and are wondering what fabrics might look good together, please e-mail us at orders@rousehousekids.com. You may also host a party where you, family and friends can can gather talk and see samples and fabrics in person. There will be a representative to answer questions and take orders.
What is your turnaround time?
Since every item is handmade to your design, our turnaround time is 3-4 weeks for the outfits and 1-2 weeks for the cottons (tees, burps, bibs, etc). We will then ship the items directly to you! We have done some research and many custom outfits take 10-14 weeks. We want to make sure you get your design the same season you order it!
What is your return policy?
Since the outfits are custom designed by you, we have a no returns policy. But, we do want our customers to be 100% happy ... and we think you will! If you have any questions about ordering, sizing, or anything at all, please e-mail us prior to ordering. We promise to respond promptly!
How should I wash my garment?
The fabric used is pima cotton (very durable and looks great after many washes). We suggest washing the fabric outfits in cold water. They have not been pre-washed so bleeding can happen especially with the really dark fabrics and in the first wash. The cottons (t-shirts, bibs, gowns, etc.) are all 100% cotton. They will shrink in the dryer. We suggest flat drying all of our outfits, but you don't have too! We think it looks better if it is dried flat.
How much do you charge for shipping and handling?
We charge $7 for shipping and handling. If you order one item or ten, it will always be $7. If you live in Nashville, Tennessee and want to pick-up your order, type in "NASHVILLE" in the code box at checkout. We will e-mail you when your order is ready for pick-up!
Does my solid fabric have to match my pattern fabric?
Absolutely not! That is what makes this fun.
Here are two examples:
Matching - Owen: pattern side: #49 with #155 (yellow cord) pocket and buttons
solid side: #157 (red) with #125 (Navy) Cade applique and buttons
Not matching - Owen: pattern side: #45 with #123 (chocolate) buttons
solid side: #123 (chocolate) with #122 (Baby Blue) car applique and buttons
Are the applique and name both included in the price?
Yes! For all of the white cotton items, the cost includes both an applique and a name (if you choose to put the name under). For all of the reversible items that use fabric (bubble, dress, longall, etc), one applique is included in the base price. If you choose to add another applique to the reverse side, it is an additional $10.
What's the difference between an applique and a monogram?
To make it simple ... we say "monogram" for a three letter monogram or a name that only uses thread. Appliques are designs that use fabric and thread.
So monogram = thread only ... and applique = fabric and thread!
How often do you pick new fabrics?
We are always looking to add new fabrics! Once one fabric is gone, we don’t (usually) reorder. This way we keep Rouse House Kids fresh and updated … and your little one unique and one-of-a-kind!
I still have questions … what do I do?
Please email us … You are our customer and #1 to us! We will return your e-mail within 24 hours. Please let us know your name, what your question is, and a telephone number or e-mail (whichever you prefer). You may hear our children in the background, but we are here to assist you!
