My Story
Rouse House Kids started with a stylish and creative, marketing girl raised in the South. US Weekly was her "book" of choice and anthropologie.com was at the top of her “Favorites”. Her Citizen jeans were her staple, pearls were her earring of choice, and a headband was her favorite accessory. TJ Maxx was her thrift store, and a boutique sale rack was her best friend. She wanted to be a shabby chic hippie, but still a classy and traditional southern girl.
Then one day, this girl who married her high school sweetheart, became what she always wanted to be … a momma! She found that dressing her sweet baby boy became a problem of pricy boutique options ... or a 14 year look in a one year old body. She wanted him to be dressed as a classic and traditional baby and soon gentleman, but still wear bright colors and patterns. Her stylish side shunned the only polos and shorts options. Her bright and happy personality couldn't face the baby blue only or worse-yet the hunter green, orange and maroon drab colors. Her practical side wanted the option of two outfits in one.
Surely other mommas felt the same way. And so with the help of her business savvy husband and her “60 is the new 40” mom, Rouse House Kids was born!
